We provide counselling for adult survivors of domestic abuse; whether this is a recent experience or from a long time ago.
People who have experienced domestic abuse often experience emotional difficulties, such as depression or anxiety, or panic attacks or can struggle with addictions as a result.
Counselling gives you the opportunity to tell your story, to gain an understanding of how things have happened and to explore your choices and the changes you can make in your life.
We offer up to 18 sessions of counselling to adults who have experienced domestic abuse. These sessions are delivered free of charge, with a counsellor who has a thorough understanding of domestic abuse and the impact experiencing domestic abuse has on survivors.
As with all our services, the counselling service is confidential. However, there may be instances where we need to involve other agencies, for example, if we are concerned about your welfare or the safety and welfare of your children. Your counsellor will explain our confidentiality policy during your first counselling session.
