Training
Our organisation is able to deliver bespoke in-house training to statutory agencies, community and voluntary groups and businesses on the following topics:
– Domestic abuse awareness
– Supporting service users and employees who are experiencing abuse
– The impact of domestic abuse on children and young people
– Introduction to domestic abuse within BME communities
– So-called Honour Based Abuse and Forced Marriage
– Female Genital Mutilation
– No Recourse to Public Funds and Domestic Abuse.

Upcoming Courses
Domestic Abuse – DASH2009 Training for professionals, 25th January 2019 – £55.
This full day (09.15 – 16.30) accredited training is for professionals who frequently come into contact with victims of domestic abuse. Using DASHric2009 provides professionals with a process to support them to make defensible and auditable decisions regarding domestic abuse they encounter. It equips participants with the skills required to identify, assess and manage risks associated with domestic abuse. The session supports participants to communicate effectively with other agencies and to refer with confidence to the MARAC.
Participants must work within Southend Borough and have attended previous Domestic Abuse – Basic Awareness or similar, or have relevant experience.

Schools
We provide healthy relationship workshops for children and young people aged 10 – 19 years old, and domestic abuse training for professionals working with young people. For more information please contact us on 01702 343868.

We are able to support clients who struggle to communicate in English through a translation service.
